Yay for grown up time and happy babies

Tonight, we hit the town for Friday’s After Five with Julie and Bill and Dawn and Spike (Bill’s sister and her husband). In the old days, these outings would be marked by a late night on the downtown mall followed by a cab ride home. These days, we hit the town with strollers, diaper bags, and snacks. And were home by 8.

Nonetheless, we had a great time comparing mommy/daddy stories and catching up on a little grown up talk. The three girls, ranging from 3 months to 15 months, were perfect!

This picture says it all: MR up to no good, Hendley eating, and sweet Grace taking it all in.

The engine is still warm from our ride back and you’ve posted a blog already! I see the bar has been raised.
Had a great time tonight – You’re husband is still over here, he’s heading to the party next door in a couple of minutes. We’ll let you know how it goes – in our blog!

We are so blessed to have you three couples and your beautiful, sweet little girls. C’ville is a great place to live and to visit. Glad that ya’ll had a good time and glad that you shared the pics with us. Wish I were there to keep all three girls so you could go out for a nice meal. However, I am not sure I could handle all three girls in addition to Sadie, Reagan and Stanley. Maybe it is a good thing that I am too far away for that to be a possibility. It was a good thought anyway. Love all of ya’ll! Gran C & Big Daddy

  4. How much fun!

And Carly, you saw Jeffrey at Julie’s wedding — remember him and all the beer? He is indeed all growed up — but don’t tell his real girlfriend about Sarah — I am afraid Dee (his girlfriend since 1999!) would chop his little head off if she knew he was cavorting at camp….

    Hey Carly,

We just missed you! We were at the downtown mall with friends sans baby! My mom was watching Bradley for the night. We grabbed dinner at the continental divide, and then some drinks. It was a beautiful night! It looks like you had a great time, little MR is just too cute! Can’t wait to catch up next week! XO, Clare
