Snow birds

The high today is 29. 29 degrees in the South is equivalent to sub zero temperatures in the northeast. It is cold. Real cold. We’re drinking plenty of hot chocolate, wearing gloves and hats, and snuggling under blankets to keep warm. We’re also packing. Later today, G and I are headed to Fernandina Beach, Florida for a long weekend to attend a wedding. Gran C and Big Daddy have graciously offered to take care of the “girls” while G and I enjoy a few days at the beach. We’ll be back on Sunday with lots of stories and pictures of our travels.

The hat looks good on Sadie. It is cold here too, but the weekend promises WARM temps. Pack your bikini!

This 29 stuff is just down right absurd….I, like Julie, am looking forward to the warmer weekend temps!

    Have fun!

When Sadie gets to Gran C’s house I will find her a flannel nightgown to wear around the house. Surely you must be working on an A-line smocked dress for her. She is lovely in her cap. Mary Reese & I will stay bundled up until the 60′s return. Love, Mom
