I’m not worried, I’m just sayin’

MR is still not walking. At 28 pounds, I get my daily workout just carrying her. I’m quite certain that by the time she decides to walk, I will be able to compete in a women’s arm wrestling tournament.  Regardless, holding her these days seems to be the only way to keep her out of trouble. She empties cabinets, shakes her finger at me and says “no, no, no”, and throws her body on the floor when things don’t go her way.

Despite it all, she makes G and I laugh like no other. No day is complete with waiving to every passerby. Yesterday, she waved or said “bye” to at least 40 people in Target. I think she’s on to something– Target (like Walmart) should invest in an in-store greeter. If they do, I hope they will pay me a royalty fee, and give the job to sweet Mary Reese. Afterall, everyone loves a baby and a red vest would be mighty cute on MR.

You better watch out,

You better not cry,

You better not pout, I’m telling you why…

Cause Santa Claus is coming to town!

Only 21 more days til’ Christmas…

Santa and the reindeer will be here soon!

Time for more decorating! Yesterday, MR and I decorated the outside mantel,

added a little Christmas cheer to the porch,

and made snowflakes for the Christmas tree.

I can’t believe how much alike our girls are. Chuck too waves and says “hi” to every being in sight while sporting the biggest grin and dimples. And while she’s been walking for almost three months now (started at 13 months) I still carry her everywhere; at home she gets all needy on me and won’t let me do anything (this stage is quite something and the hardest, I think) and in public I do it by choie or else she’ll take off on me in a split second and lose her. I once lost her at Target. I had a heart attack, but found her in the shoe department. Go figure.

I’m jealous that MR has enough hair in the front to wear a bow. Chuck just has a mullet and won’t even let me do pig tails.

    Why is your mantel outside?

Cute MR in all her Christmas clothes. Love all the decorating too!
AH never crawled like babies normally do…..she scooted on her bootie :) She was a late walker– I think she started at 17 months. I always heard children either walk or talk a little early. We were for sure into communication :)
Looking back, I can’t believe I even thought twice about it and bought every toy that she had to walk to use…she’s great!
(a baby stroller would be a fun toy this christmas if you need some extra motivation to walk)
I totally wouldn’t fret over it!!

Love the snowflakes on the tree.

My girl will walk when she is good and ready, but I know how you feel since LL doesn’t talk…

Don’t worry about MR…she’s been advanced on every other milestone…she deserves a break : )
