You paid how much for that?

She pitched a big one, right there on the floor of Barnes and Noble for all to see. Back arched, screaming and kicking. I tried my best to calm her down. And then I gave in. She won. Her prize for labeling me a pushover mom– a $25 Elmo that she hasn’t touched since she’s gotten home. If I had known that that little red devil cost that much, I would have left him in the middle of B&N for another helpless, defeated mom to stumble upon.

Now that we are the proud owners of yet another stuffed animal, you better believe that I’m doing my best to make these two inseparable. We’ve taken the ridiculously overpriced Elmo on a stroller ride, to Target, and on a spin around the neighborhood in Lil’ Miss Rosy. I’ve even threatened to take away Pink Poodle if she doesn’t form a fast friendship with her furry red friend.

I’ve also explained that this impulse purchase may prevent her from receiving the Giddyup N’ Go Pony that Garrett and I desperately want she is dying to receive. Check him out, he’s way cooler than the Teddy Ruxpin of my time.

We also picked up this “Musical Dora” book so we could brush up on our Spanish during our 5 hour ride to the coast.

    That is so funny.

I can’t believe she is still in the Scottie Dog dress. So cute!

I just watched the pony video, and I’m calling Santa right now. We need to get one for both girls. Can you imagine them racing their ponies down that hill in front of mom and dad’s!?

HA! Don’t you just love those fits :)

Some of our friends got that pony last year…but last years model doesn’t move. It’s so cute. The mom HATES it and says they never play with it and claims its too big in their house. I’ve been begging her to sell it to me because my Garret’s family are big into horses. They would go nuts :) I have seen some deals on craigslist for that pony!
You and Elmo have fun on your trip!

santa will be getting another call from the Peterson household too! That was the cutest thing ever!!! I think once Addie gets over the initial scare of it, she’d love it!

  7. Oh the things we do for our babies. I would have done it too if my little Melana had insisted on it. You’re not a push over when she’s this age, you’re just one wonderful Mama.
