Pencil me in
July 23rd, 2009
This little lady has quite the social calendar these days. She returned from a girl’s vacation at the coast last Friday. Barely unpacked, her mama is scurrying around the house like a mad woman, trying to get ready for yet another round of festivities. G is leaving on Friday to go fishing with the boys and MR and I will be heading out on Sunday to Santa Rosa beach with some dear friends. My to do list is a mile long, but I can hardly wait to hit the road!
G and MR cheered the Braves to victory last night.
A visit from K
July 21st, 2009
K was my old next door neighbor in Crozet, Virginia. She is one of the most kind-hearted people I know. And, probably one of the few people that would brave an 8 hour trip down south with three kids under the age of four. Thanks to my sister, Julie, her effort did not go unnoticed. Not only did Julie turn her backyard into a child-friendly water park, but she also volunteered her sweet husband to man the grill. After hours of playing outdoors and catching up on girl-talk, we promptly shifted gears to the highlight of the evening—the first annual costume/dance off…here’s to many more in the years to come!

Girls trip to the coast
July 20th, 2009
With G gone most of last week, we were more than excited to accept Gran C’s offer to take a girl’s trip to the coast.
For three wonderful days, we traded life in Atlanta for a view of the marsh.
Microwave dinners were replaced with local seafood.
Bathing suits and princess attire became the official dress code.
And holding Gran C’s hand became the highlight of every day.

Lots to smile about
July 13th, 2009
She’s full of drama, smiles, and lots of laughter. This sweet little girl brings me more joy than I have ever known! With her daddy gone for the next couple of days, we delcared this week Camp Fun. We’re going to wear our PJ’s til noon, stay up late, read gossip magazines, and catch up on our favorite blogs. We’ve also got a brand new bag of Cheetos with our name written all over it…
Mismatched shoes have become the norm around here.
And band-aids and Popsicles are in high demand after a tricycle accident off the front porch.
These sweet friends always give us something to smile about. On Saturday we got together for pizza and live music at the market village.
Little Miss Fashionista

Playing dressup is perhaps one of the funnest aspects of having a children’s clothing line. MR loves to watch me sew and thinks that every shirt that I make is hers. She is especially fond of the owl shirt, Hootin and Hollerin and much to her daddy’s dismay, the Go Gators Little Alligator shirt.
As we begin to introduce the fall line, there has been ample opportunity for dressup and porch time. Here are some of our favorite Petey Pie pictures from weeks past.
Cheer on the Bulldogs or your favorite sports team with a custom made football shirt
And while we’re talking about Petey Pie’s, don’t forget to take a look at the new birthday collection, featuring birthday shirts, hats, and bibs. The line can be custom ordered, with over 45 fabrics to choose from!

Learning to proofread
July 6th, 2009
Don’t you hate it when you make an error or grammatical mistake on your blog, or worse yet, on someone else’s blog? Or when that mistake happens to be on someone’s facebook page for all of their friends to see? Never one to proofread, I often fall victim to this mishap.
My latest slip occurred on my last blog post…instead of directing people to Petey Pie’s website, I directed them to our personal homepage. Red faced and ashamed, I’m hoping you will take a minute to admire all of my husbands hard work. He spent hour upon hour coding to make sure the site was up and running in time for the Daily Candy Kids article. And his hard work payed off. Thanks to the article, we generated over 1000 hits to the site in the first two days!
I also want to thank my sweet husband for spending several hours of his time traveling and calling various Walmart’s across Georgia in search of toddler boys t-shirts. Our search ended in Fernandina Beach, Florida, where my wonderful mother-in-law located and shipped a new batch of shirts. Having a supportive and dependable family is probably the best blessing of all!
And because I’m officially 2 weeks behind, here are a few highlights from the last couple of weeks…
